How to use it

  1. 1

Paste source text and detect candidates or mark a selected term manually.

  2. 2

Practice by recalling each blank before revealing the answer.

  3. 3

Print a question and answer set or export front/back CSV for flashcard apps.

A useful blank should point to one answer

Automatic candidates come from simple patterns such as numbers, Latin-letter terms, and quoted phrases. The tool does not understand the passage or rank concepts with AI, so review every candidate before using it. The strongest cloze questions remove a short, meaningful fact while leaving enough context for one clear answer. Too many blanks turn a sentence into guessing rather than retrieval practice.

For definitions, dates, equations, and domain vocabulary, aim for one or two blanks per sentence. The CSV export places the sentence with a blank on the front and the missing term on the back, ready for Memly or Anki import. If your source is a PDF, image, video, or audio file and you want extraction plus automatic card suggestions, Memly provides that larger workflow inside the app.

Frequently asked questions

How are automatic candidates detected?

The tool finds numbers, letter-based terms, katakana sequences, and quoted phrases. It does not judge meaning, so you decide which suggestions matter.

Can I choose any phrase manually?

Yes. Select it in the editor and use the hide-selection control, or surround it directly with 【brackets】.

Can Anki import the CSV?

Yes. Import it as UTF-8 comma-separated text and map the first column to Front and the second to Back.

Does printing include answers?

Yes. The print layout places the question sheet first and a separate answer section afterward.

Results are planning estimates. Prefer official exam, school, and testing-provider information when making decisions.
