Test both directions and learn from errors
Recognizing a definition from a term and producing the term from a definition use different retrieval routes. Mixed direction reveals cards that feel familiar but cannot yet be produced. Random order removes the original list position as a cue, and regenerating the quiz makes repeated classroom checks less predictable.
Multiple-choice distractors come from other backs in the same list. Lists containing similar parts of speech or related concepts produce stronger alternatives; fewer than four distinct answers may not support a useful four-choice question. After scoring, identify the missed items and retrieve them again rather than stopping at the total. Memly can share the deck and retain each learner's review history.

Can I make a different version each week?

How are wrong choices generated?
They are sampled from answers on other cards in the same list. Add related terms for more plausible distractors.
