About Memly

Everyone forgets. So we built a system that remembers.

Memly is a learning platform that turns “I think I know this” into knowledge that actually stays, combining AI flashcard generation with a review algorithm built on the forgetting curve. We are a small team in Minami-Aoyama, Tokyo, building Memly in Japanese, English, and Korean.

Mission / Vision

What we are working toward

Mission

Build a learning foundation where every learner moves from “I think I memorized it” to knowledge that reliably stays, powered by AI and forgetting-curve algorithms.

Vision

By 2030, make learning three times more efficient and become the global standard for memory retention, used by ten million learners worldwide.

Product

What we build

Every Memly feature is designed backwards from one goal: knowledge that stays.

AI card generation

Memly turns PDFs, notes, and web pages into flashcards in seconds. Card creation stops being the bottleneck, so learners can focus on remembering.

FSRS review engine

FSRS, a scientifically validated spaced-repetition algorithm, schedules each review right before you would forget, based on the strength of your own memory.

Learning that follows you

Memly runs on iOS, Android, and the web. With MCP, it also connects directly to ChatGPT and Claude, so you can add and organize cards from an AI conversation.

What if someone who struggles with memory built a system that makes knowledge stick?

Throughout my academic journey, from undergraduate studies to an MBA, and now working across multiple industries, I struggled with the same problem so many people face: I could not retain what I learned. New frameworks and terminology would turn fuzzy by the next day. I took detailed notes I never reviewed, then relearned everything from scratch. That memory gap held me back every time I tried something new.

That question became Memly. Our AI instantly turns any material into flashcards, and the scientifically proven FSRS algorithm calculates the exact moment each card should be reviewed. AI-generated mnemonics and context explanations deepen understanding, so short-term learning becomes lasting knowledge.

Since I started using Memly myself:

  • I pick up new industry knowledge quickly and join high-stakes discussions with confidence.
  • The stress of forgetting has almost disappeared.
  • Knowing that what I learn will stay, I feel free to take on new subjects.

If your memory has ever cost you an opportunity, the way it did for me, try Memly. We are here to end the battle with forgetting and turn learning into your advantage.

Supporting your next challenge, starting with memory. That is Memly's mission.

Values

How we work

More than a feature list, we rely on principles we can return to when decisions get hard.

Ship the science, unchanged.

We implement what cognitive science and learning psychology have verified, not hunches or trends. Adopting FSRS for the review engine is one example.

Protect the learner's time.

A learning app should not maximize time in app. We design every review session to end short and deep.

Move at small-team speed.

The developer reads user feedback directly and ships improvements in the next update. That closeness is our advantage.
