Design plausible distractors so the answer requires knowledge
Multiple-choice questions are efficient to score, but weak distractors allow a learner to guess through grammar or eliminate obviously unrelated options. Useful distractors reflect common misconceptions, nearby concepts, or a recognizable calculation error. The maker shuffles the correct position, but the author remains responsible for checking that one answer is clearly best and that the question does not contain accidental clues.
The browser mode scores the set after completion, while the print layout separates questions from the key. Correct recognition is weaker evidence than producing an answer without options. Revisit every missed or uncertain question as a short-answer prompt after the quiz. Use only questions and source material you created or have permission to reproduce, especially when distributing a handout to a class.
This tool works without an account and processes the inputs in your browser. Treat the result as a decision aid, then compare it with the rules in your syllabus or the latest information from the testing provider. A number is most useful when it changes what you do next: isolate the weak material, turn it into a clear retrieval prompt, and schedule another attempt after some forgetting has occurred. That closes the loop between calculation and durable learning.
Frequently asked questions
How many questions can I create?
The interface is designed for up to 50 at a time. Split longer exams into focused sections for easier review and printing.
Are answer positions randomized?
Yes. Each generated question shuffles its four options. Generate again to produce a different order.
Does this tool upload my study data?
The calculation or conversion runs in this browser. Avoid entering confidential information, and keep an exported backup of material you cannot replace.
Can I treat the result as an official grade or score?
Use it as a planning estimate. Your school, testing provider, syllabus, and official score report take priority over this browser calculation.
